Frequently Asked Questions

From working with us to pricing, websites, social media, design, video, and AI, here's what you need to know about working with The Marketette.

01

Working With The Marketette

We offer Social Media Marketing, Website Design, Graphic Design, Video Editing, and AI-assisted content creation.

You can hire us for one service or combine services depending on what your business needs.

We work with businesses across different industries, from small businesses and startups to established brands that need extra support with their digital presence.

Not sure if we're a good fit? Tell us what you're working on and we'll let you know how we can help.

Absolutely. You don't have to bundle services.

Need a website but already have someone managing your social media? That's fine. Need video editing but not graphic design? That works too.

We'll focus on what you actually need.

We'll first learn about your business, what you need help with, and what you're trying to accomplish.

From there, we'll recommend an approach and discuss the scope, pricing, timeline, and next steps before any work begins.

That depends on the service. We'll need your input, materials, access, and approvals at certain stages, but our goal is to take work off your plate, not create another job for you.

02

Pricing, Payments & Contracts

Our pricing is available on our individual service pages so you can see the cost before contacting us.

Final pricing may vary depending on the scope and requirements of your project.

Yes. The way you're billed depends on the service and scope of work.

We'll make the pricing clear before we begin so you know exactly what you're paying for.

Yes. Our ongoing services have a one-month minimum commitment.

After that, you can decide whether you'd like to continue working with us.

For project-based work, we require 50% upfront to begin and the remaining 50% once the agreed work is completed.

If a different payment arrangement applies to your service, we'll discuss it with you before work begins.

Yes.

If work has already started, any refund will depend on how much work has been completed and any costs already incurred for your project.

Specific cancellation terms will be included in your service agreement.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, no.

Domains, hosting, premium plugins, paid software, advertising spend, stock assets, and other third-party services are generally the client's responsibility.

If your project requires something that needs to be purchased, we'll let you know first.

03

Social Media & Marketing

We work across major social media platforms depending on your business and where your audience is.

We don't believe every business needs to be everywhere. We'd rather focus on the platforms that make sense for your brand and audience.

Not necessarily.

We can help plan and create your content. Depending on your business, we may need photos, videos, product information, brand materials, or other assets from you.

If you don't have enough content, we can discuss other creative options, including AI-assisted content.

Yes. Social media management can include planning, content creation, approval, scheduling, and publishing depending on the service you choose.

We'll clearly define what's included before we start.

Yes. We can work with the accounts you already have.

We'll review what's currently there, what's working, what isn't, and where we see opportunities to improve.

You'll have an opportunity to review content before it is published when approval is included in your service.

You provide feedback, we make the necessary adjustments, and once approved, the content can be scheduled or published.

Marketing takes time.

Some improvements may happen early, but it takes time and real data to understand what your audience responds to. We look at performance, learn from it, and adjust the strategy as we go.

We'd rather give you realistic expectations than promise overnight growth.

No. There are too many factors outside anyone's control to honestly guarantee specific marketing results.

What we can do is create, test, measure, learn, and continuously improve based on what the data is telling us.

04

Website Design

Most of our standard website projects can be completed within 3–5 business days once we have everything we need to begin.

Larger or more complicated websites may take longer, and we'll let you know before the project starts.

We'll usually need your business information, logo and branding, content or business details, images, and any other materials relevant to your website.

Having everything ready before we start helps us meet the expected turnaround time.

Yes.

We can work with your existing website and improve the design, messaging, structure, mobile experience, or overall look.

We'll review what you currently have before recommending what should change.

Yes. Our websites are designed to be responsive across desktop, tablet, and mobile screen sizes.

Mobile isn't an afterthought. We consider it part of the website design from the beginning.

Yes.

If you already have a domain and hosting, we'll check your current setup first. If it's suitable for the website we're building, there's no reason to purchase everything again.

We design and build your website, but the domain, hosting, premium plugins, paid software, and other third-party services are purchased by the client.

We can recommend what you need and help you through the setup.

We build websites with good SEO foundations in mind, including page structure, headings, mobile responsiveness, and other basic on-page considerations.

Ongoing SEO, keyword strategies, content creation, link building, and SEO campaigns are separate unless specifically included in your project.

Website design projects include up to three rounds of revisions.

We recommend gathering your feedback for each round so we can make the changes efficiently.

Additional revisions beyond the three included rounds may have an additional fee.

Just contact us.

Whether you need a small update, another page, new functionality, or a larger redesign later, we can review what you need and provide a quote.

05

Graphic Design & Video Editing

We create social media graphics, advertisements, promotional materials, website graphics, banners, digital marketing assets, and other branded creative materials.

Have something specific in mind? Show us what you're looking for and we'll let you know what we can do.

We work with digital and social media video content, including Reels, short-form videos, promotional content, advertisements, and other marketing videos.

The editing approach depends on your footage, platform, style, and what you're trying to create.

Yes.

If you already have brand colors, fonts, logos, guidelines, or an established visual style, we'll work with them to keep your content consistent.

If you want us to use your actual products, team, location, customers, or original footage, you'll need to provide those materials.

If you don't have enough assets, we can discuss alternatives such as stock assets, graphics, animation, or AI-assisted content.

For graphic design and photo editing, we use Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Lightroom, and Canva.

For video editing and production, we use CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Adobe After Effects.

We choose the tool based on what we're creating instead of forcing every project into the same software.

06

AI & Content Creation

Yes.

AI is one of the tools we use when it makes sense for a project. We combine it with our experience in design, editing, marketing, research, and content creation.

AI helps us work differently. It doesn't replace the thinking behind the work.

It depends on the project.

We may use AI for research, brainstorming, content development, creative production, images, video, automation, and other parts of our workflow.

We don't use AI just because we can. We use it when it can genuinely help us create something better or work more efficiently.

Yes. AI-assisted video creation is available as an add-on service.

We can create AI-assisted visual and video content when it makes sense for your brand, campaign, or content strategy.

No.

Using AI doesn't mean pressing a button and handing you whatever comes out.

Design, editing, strategy, brand consistency, quality control, and final decisions still involve human input.

That's completely fine.

Let us know before we begin. We can work without AI-generated materials as long as you provide the photos, videos, copy, or other materials we need to complete the project using the agreed approach.

It depends on how it's being used.

Some AI-assisted services, particularly AI video creation or work requiring paid generation tools, may have an additional cost. We'll discuss any additional cost with you before using a paid service for your project.
